Gempa bermagnitud 6,7 menggetarkan Jakarta pada Senin (4/4/2011) pukul 03:06:39 BBWI. Menurut data dari USGS, lokasi gempa berada di posisi 9,865°Lintang Selatan dan 107,612°Bujur Timur dengan kedalaman 10 kilometer. Posisinya berada di kawasan selatan Jawa.
USGS juga menampilkan catatan jangkauan jarak pusat gempa adalah 426 km dari Jakarta, 324 km dari Bandung, 291 km dari Tasikmalaya, dan 224 km dari Pulau Christmas.
